- Another big Philly sports weekend ahead. The Phillies play in Tampa against the struggling Rays. The Phils are 6-5 and have won 3 in a row. The Rays are off to a slow start with a 3-9 record. The interesting match-up will be Saturday night when Jake Arrieta faces Tampa Bay's ace, Chris Archer.
- The designated hitter will be in play this weekend, which allows the Phils to have all four outfielders in the line-up against the Rays.
- The upcoming home stand should be interesting. After the current road trip vs the Rays and Braves, the Phillies come home to play the red-hot Pirates, the always-tough Diamondbacks, and finally Atlanta at Citizens Bank Park. The schedule has been favorable so far, playing the lowly Marlins and Reds. The 10-game home stand will tell a lot.
- The Flyers try to rebound tonight in Game Two of the playoffs against Pittsburgh. They can't play much worse then getting blown-out 7-0. Hopefully the Penguins are over-confident tonight and the Flyers are pissed at getting embarrassed in Game One and make it tough for the champs. Another devastating loss and we may be looking at a Penguin sweep.
- For the first time in six years the Sixers are in the playoffs.Still without Joel Embiid, hopefully the 76ers don't get the postseason jitters and take care of the Heat on Saturday night. I have them beating Miami in 5 games.
