- The Flyers showed a lot of heart by beating the Penguins last night to even their playoff series 1-1. They couldn't play worse than getting shut-out in Game One, 7-0. Pittsburgh seemed over-confident and sleepwalked thru the first period. Now the series comes to Philadelphia Sunday afternoon for Game 3. What now?
- The Phillies won in Tampa, 2-1, going to 7-5 on the season. They remain in third place in National league East, 4 games behind the red-hot Mets ( who are 11-1). Scott Kingery did it again, cracking a double late in the game and scoring the winning run.
Out of the 21 years of interleague play, the Phils have only had 8 winning seasons against American League teams. Their record against the Rays is now 10-15, second worse in the AL ( they are an incredible 1-12 vs the Angels. Tonight the match-up is Jake Arrieta vs Chris Archer.
- The Sixers are 25-1 at home since Christmas. They play Game One of their playoff series vs the Heat tonight in South Philly.
- Dez Bryant was cut by the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. He made too much money and isn't as good. Bryant led the NFL last season in dropped passes. Hopefully the Eagles don't consider bringing him on. He's a "me" guy, even though it would be sweet to stick the knife into the cowboys with Bryant as an Eagle receiver.
