- For the first time this season I was completely bored with American Idol last night. In fact, I fell asleep a tone point. It seemed all too scripted and too nice. Sometimes i miss Simon.
I don't remember this portion of the competition form the past. Usually it's Hollywood week then the live shows. I'm not familiar with most of the "all-star duets" tonight.
- Katy Perry's parent are weird, especially Dad.
The other Catie, remains quirky and goofy. Somehow I think she will make it to the final 14, but she's not that good. Hopefully America votes her out in time.
- Cade, the rocker, is good and made Katy swoon, although i think a lot of her passion was planned. Like I said here, Cade should go far ( like Adam Lambert and Chris Daughtry) but will he win?
- I like lil' Layla Spring, but I'm afraid she may be a surprise cut. She could be America;s Sweetheart. if given the chance.I'm afraid she may get swallowed up by the bigger voices in the competition.
- I wasn't wowed by any of the solo performances last night. To me, there's still no clear-cut winner on the horizon right now. Think about it- would you buy a cd or a concert ticket for anyone you've seen so far?
- Apparently there are cuts tonight. But how can they cut without hearing the last 12 first? Unless everything was taped at the same time and they are breaking it up for TV? I'll be glad when the real live shows start and America votes.
- Speaking of which, if Catie Turner does make it to the Final 14 ( I think she will) America needs to kick her out. She remains annoyingly quirky and goofy, and she's not that good ( although, for some reason, the judges love her).
- We get the drag queen again tonight, but will he be a he or she? He performed as a she, but showed up at Final Judgement last week as a he. Will he revert back to a she? Shouldn't the producers make him/her stop the gimmicks and just be himself/herself? It's all so stupid and confusing and again, he/she is not that good.
