T.O. and Other Nonconformists
Eagles with personalities so big that they have trouble fitting into a team come in a variety of types. They can be loudmouths, egotists and malcontents, or they can be intense leaders or even freewheeling, fun-loving flakes.
Their effect on the team can be as positive as a Tommy McDonald keeping everyone loose, or as negative as a Terrell Owens tearing a team apart. What they all have in common is that they attract attention, are a magnet for television cameras, sell newspapers and keep fans talking and interested. They also tend to drive coaches crazy.
Luckily, there were no such characters on this year's championship squad. No selfish prima donas- only team guys who wanted to win.
