* More post-Super Bowl notes, as the championship parade nears...
- Poor Tom Brady and family. Can't take losing. Brady's wife, supermodel Gieselle, was seen consoling their crying kids after the Super Bowl, telling the children that Brady "let " the Eagles win because they "never won a Super Bowl before."
First, the Eagles earned their victory. It's so condescending to say the mighty Patriots "let" the Birds win.Again, lack of respect for Philly, not giving them the credit they deserve. Even in defeat the Pats and Brady lack class.
Ok, maybe it's just a bitter, stupid statement form a bimbo. But still, it reeks of arrogance and a "we-are-better-than-you" attitude. I know that Dallas owner Jerry Jones is literally "crying in his pillow" over the Eagles' big win, so it doesn't surprise me that New England is so smug.
Teams can't be happy for other teams, even when they overcome so much, as underdogs. That's why if the Cowboys win it again, or the Giants, or even the Patriots again, I won't slobber over their success. Why should I? They aren't happy for us.
Second, to tell your kids "we already won five Super Bowls, so we allowed the losers to win one' is degrading, not only to the Eagles, but to the bratty, spoiled kids as well. There are winners and losers in life. The Bradys aren't used to defeat. They can't except it as adults, so they try to shelter their children from facing it.
But doesn't losing make one a better human being/ Doesn't losing make one appreciate winning even more, knowing if you work hard in life, you can do anything? Maybe the Brady children won't ever have to face defeat or struggle in life. But teaching them not to face the harsh realities of life is bad parenting.
New England Patriots and their fans are privileged people who can't stand to see their team fail or others be successful;, especially at their expense. Cowboy fans will always be the worst, because of their vulgarity and obnoxiousness. But Patriot fans are right up there on the list of classless losers.

Let's recap the entire 2017 season, game-by-game, and savor in looking back on a magical year:
Week 1- Eagles 30 Redskins 17
There were thoughts the Birds would lose the season opener in Washington. The 'Skins had given Philly fits in recent years. But Carson Wentz set the tone early with a long TD pass to Nelson Agholor, and the Eagles got off to a 1-0 start.
Week 2- Chiefs 27 Eagles 20
The Eagles were tied going into the fourth quarter at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. For some strange reason Coach Pederson didn't use his new running back, LaGarrett Blount, at all. Andy Reid wins, and there is Super Bowl talk for the Chiefs already, especially after they defeated both the Patriots and Eagles in back-to-back weeks.Little did we know back then, KC would win the AFC West but struggle in doing so, and choke again at home in the playoffs against an average Tennessee titans team.
Week 3- Eagles 27 Giants 24
To me, the key game of the season which propelled them to greatness. Losing to the rival Giants at the Linc, after getting up 14-0, rookie Jake Elliot kicked a franchise record 61-yard field goal to win the game. How terrible would it have been to lose the home opener to New York, drop to 1-2, and feel "here we go again?"Instead, the Eagles went to 2-1 and started the G-men spireling downward thru-out the rest of the year.
Week 4- Eagles 26 Chargers 24
Philly fans overtook the small soccer stadium, home to the LA Chargers,as the Birds pulled out another close game, going to 3-1.
Week 5- Eagles 34 Cardinals 7
I was at the Arizona game, on a warm early October afternoon. The Birds completely dominated the Cards, shredding their highly-touted defense.
Week 6- Eagles 28 Panthers 23
The game that got national attention for the Eagles. It was a Thursday night game, and not many so-called football experts gave Philadelphia a chance against the host Carolina Panthers. But yet again, in a really hard-fought, physical contest, the Birds came out on top and went to a surprising 5-1.
Week 7- Eagles 34 Redskins 24
The Eagles swept the season series with Washington, won another division game, and moved to 6-1. Carson Wentz shined on Monday Night Football gaining even more national exposure for the Birds.
Week 8- Eagles 33 49ers 10
No problems with San Francisco in this home win. The eagles got the Niners before they traded for QB Jimmy Garopollo, who took SF on a five-game winning streak to close their year.
Week 9- Eagles 51 Broncos 23
I was at this game too and it wasn't even as close as the final score indicated. The fear was Von Miller and the Denver defense, which turned out to be no factor at all. It was the first game in midnight green for new acquisition running back jay Ajayi, who had a big game in the blow-out.
Week 10- Bye
A well-earned bye after a three-game victorious home stand, which left the Birds at a 8-1 mark going into the second half of the season.
Week 11- Eagles 37 Cowboys 9
A real blow-out in Dallas, a Sunday Night special. Suddenly, the games weren't close anymore. The Birds were scoring in the 30s and beyond, and a win over hated-rival Dallas was sweet and moved the Eagles to a improbable 9-1 tally.
Week 12- Eagles 31 Bears 3
A total thrashing of the Bears at the Linc on a chilly November afternoon. 10-1. Most experts had the Eagles winning 10 games at the most for the entire year, yet here they were, only in week 12, already collecting 10 wins. The NFC wasn't in doubt anymore; now, the question would be, could Philly get home field advantage in the playoffs?
Week 13- Seahawks 34 Eagles 10
The last meaningful game the Birds would lose for the rest of the season. Who knew back then? Seattle saved their hopes for a NFC West title with a Sunday Night home win, while it was a nice reality check for the Eagles, who dropped to 10-2. This was the first game in a three-game road trip, and the first of two on the west coast.
Week 14- Eagles 43 Rams 35
The Birds stayed on the west coast for the week between the Seattle and Los Angeles games, and it proved to be wise, as the Eagles slugged it out with the high-scoring Rams. It was the game that Wentz tore his ACL, his final game of the season/. Back-up QB Nick Foles stepped in and guided the shaky Birds on to victory and an 11-2 mark.
Week 15- Eagles 34 Giants
New York, floundering since the first match-up with Philly in September, gave the Eagles a surprisingly tough game at the Meadowlands, on a cold December Sunday afternoon. Foles played well, which gave the team and fans some hope after the depressing and deflating Wentz injury.
Week 16- Eagles 19 Raiders 10
Back home on Christmas night, the Eagles struggled against a down-and-out Oakland team, which had flown across the country to play in a cold Monday night game at the Linc. Foles didn't look good a tall, and even though the team were intensely battling for the No. 1 seed and home field advantage thru-out the playoffs, without Wentz, the future looked bleak for the Eagles in the upcoming postseason.
Week 17- Cowboys 6 Eagles 0
A New Year's Eve meaningless game at frigid Lincoln Financial Field brought the final record to 13-3. An outstanding year, no matter what. Foles again played bad, and the Eagles still secured the No. 1 overall seed, and a bye to rest. During this week, the coaches would work with Foles, play to his strengths, and re-work the game-plan going into the NFC playoffs.
NFC Divisional Playoff- Eagles 15 Falcons 10
The underdog Birds ( the first time a No.1 seed was not favored over a No. 6 seed, at home no less) withstood a final Atlanta push at the end, and Philly marched into the NFC Championship Game. Foles played great, as did the defense, and there was hope. Earlier in the week, a local writer said the Eagles did not have a "home field advantage." The fans took it personally and were louder than ever during the win. After the game, Lane Johnson and Chris Long unveiled the famous "underdog masks" while strolling the field, and a legend was born.
NFC Championship- Eagles 38 Vikings 7
Again underdogs, the Eagles destroyed Minnesota on a balmy night in mid-January, crushing the league's leading defense for 39 unanswered points. Foles played his greatest game yet, and the team steam-rolled into the Super Bowl, seeking revenge against the champion Patriots.
Super Bowl LII- Eagles 41 Patriots 33
Underdogs one finally time, the Eagles pulled off the greatest upset of all, defeating the champion, evil empire New England Patriots, gaining revenge for their Super Bowl loss 14 years ago, and winning Philadelphia's first-ever Super Bowl. It's the first eagle championship since 1960- 58 years ago.
