With the 5-4 Phillies comeback win over Miami last night, and the Atlanta loss, the lead in NL East is trimmed to 6 1/2 games. Still too far away. Only saving grace- while the Braves play the Cards this week ( St. Louis is still g=fighting for a wild card spot), Philadelphia plays the Mets. Only problem is that New York has had the Phillies' number for years now. If the Phils can somehow shave a few more games off the the lead by next weekend, it will makes things interesting.
4 with Atlanta, 4 with Colorado and 3 with Atlanta.
Having Quinn in the line-up changes the whole dynamic. Not only does he play good defense, his speed alone puts pressure on opposing pitchers. Ramos has added an extra professional bat, slow as he may be. Nice to have the athleticism of Altherr in the outfield. Of course, the Phillies ar eplaying the lowly marlins this weekend, so take the wins with a grain of salt.
My 3 NFL picks this weekend..
Eagles -3
Saints -9
Falcons -6
