IN MY LIFE- BURT REYNOLDS

Icon movie star Burt Reynolds died this morning form cardiac arrest in Florida. He was 82.

I loved Burt Reynolds. He was cool. My favorite Reynolds' films were Longest Yard, Smokey and the Bandit and Gator.

He was a macho guy that every male wanted to be yet funny, wise-cracking and fun.

Also interesting were the roles he turned down- Hans Solo in "Star Wars", the Jack Nicholson roles in both "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest", the Bruce Willis role in 'Die Hard",  and "Terms of Endearment.". He also considered the Adam West role in the TV series Batman in the 60s.

Even though he dated and married the likes of Dinah Shore, Loni Anderson, Farrah Faucett Judy Carne and Ingra Stevens, he confessed in his 2015 autobiography that his true love was Sally Field, and he screwed up that relationship.

I enjoyed his banter with Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show, where he appeared frequently.

He suffered health problems and financial difficulties thru-out his run, but in the end he proclaimed that he had "so much fun" in his life. of course, he was a football player at Florida State until he blew out his knee.

Rest in Peace, Burt....
