CHIRPING BIRDS- WEEK 4- EAGLES- TITANS

When the schedule first came out in April, and I went over the potential wins and losses like we all do, I counted this upcoming game at Tennessee a loss. I thought the Birds, with or without Wentz, would go 3-0 before playing the Titans. The loss in Tampa Bay changed my views since then.

The Titans had a big win at rival Jacksonville last week. i expect a little letdown this week. The Titans' offense continues to struggle, despite QB Mariotta playing well so far.

Wentz did well in the Indianapolis victory last week. Now that the anxiety is over about how well he could play in an actual game, and more importantly, after he took a hit, I expect Wentz to play even better this Sunday.

More so, receiver Alsohn Jeffery should be back this week, with hopefully weapons Sproles and Ayaji. I submit the Eagles still could use a speed wide-out with the absence of injured Mike Wallace. I see their defense limiting the Tennessee offense. Yes, they will face a different animal in Mariotta and his ability to scramble. That will be a challenge.

Eagle fans travel well. They lost a bit of steam in Tampa . DeSean Jackson's early touchdown bomb. This week , especially with a faster start, Birds' fans will be more vocal , which should help the defense, which plays much better at home.

Just announced: Safety Rodney McLeod is out for the season with an ACL tear. Not good. let's see how the secondary adjusts.

I think it will be a tough game in Tennessee. Philly always seems to have troubles with AFC teams. But somehow I feel the Birds win a close one, preparing for a much bigger game next week with Minnesota.

The difference between 3-1 and 2-2 is huge. It's a winnable road game on a schedule where every team will be gunning for the Super Bowl champs. The road gets tougher down the road. Stockpile the wins now.

Eagles 23 Titans 17
