NFL WRAP-UP- WEEK 2

A total wrap-up of the NFL Week 2..

Bengals over Ravens-

Are the Bengals legit? They go 2-0. Baltimore scores 47 points in week 1 then loses to Cincy. I don't like Marvin Lewis, the Cincinnati coach, but it wold be nice to see a team give the struggling Steelers a challenge in AFC North. Bengals go to Carolina next week while the Ravens play at home against Denver.

Falcons over Panthers-

Makes sense Atlanta would bounce back from their opening night loss to the Eagles with a key home division win over Carolina. The Panthers are still going to be a tough, improved team. Atlanta stays home for the Saints, while 1-1 Carolina hosts Cincinnati before an early bye week.

Colts over Redskins-

Maybe the Colts won't be as bad with QB Andrew Luck back at the helm. New coach Frank Reich sure will be inventive. Indy comes to the Linc on Sunday to face the Eagles. Washington loses a home game and new QB Alex Smith fails, as the Skins go 1-1.Washington faces Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers at home this week before an early bye week.

Titans over Texans-

Disappointed in Houston, going 0-2 against a mediocre Tennessee team. The titans look to hang with Jacksonville in AFC South. Houston plays its first home game of the season this week against the 0-2 Giants, while the Titans are at 2-0 Jacksonville for a huge early game.

Buccaneers over Eagles-

Tampa Bay may really be better than anyone imagined. What will they do at quarterback when Winston is eligible to play? The Birds get good news with the return of Carson Wentz and home-cooking, where they have been practically unbeatable during the Doug Pederson era. Birds get Indy while the Bucs play Monday night at home against Pittsburgh. Beating the Steelers would make me a believer.

49ers over Lions-

The Lions aren't as bad as their opener vs the Jets, but they aren't very good, either. The Niners are just trying to stay with the surging Rams in NFC West. SF goes to Kansas City to take on the hot 2-0 Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium while Detroit hosts an angry New England team that rarely loses two in a row.

Rams over Cardinals-

LA were 13 point favorites and won 34-0 over Arizona. They are streaking 2-0 out of the gate. Arizona is 0-2 and may start rookie Josh Allen instead of Sam Bradford soon. The Rams stay home to face cross-town rivals Chargers while the Cards take on a 1-1 Bears team in the desert.

Cowboys over Giants-

Two bad NFC East teams. Dallas won at home but again didn't look good in doing so. New York has weapons but can't block anyone. the Cowboys, 1-1, are up against it this week at Seattle, where the Seahawks rarely lose, and they are a pissed-off team at 0-2. The G-men continue their brutal early schedule with a game at 0-2 Houston.

Chiefs over Steelers-

KC started hot last season and fizzled. They are again 2-0 and take on San Francisco this week. Pittsburgh is 0-1-1 so far, with in-fighting in the locker room between players and coaches. The Steelers must travel to Tampa to face the surprising Bucs this Monday Night.

Dolphins over Jets-

New York couldn't have been that good as week 1 when they crushed the Lions in Detroit. The Fish start 2-0 and lead the AFC  East, at least for now. The Jets hit the road the next two weeks, first to Cleveland then Jacksonville. Miami gets a chance to go 3-0 while hosting the Raiders.

Chargers over Bills-

LA flew across country and destroyed the Bills. Luckily they got a weak Buffalo squad before it got bitterly cold in upstate New York. he bills look like one of the worst teams in the league-again. LA faces the Rams this week while Buffalo , struggling at 0-2, will struggle more at Minnesota.

Vikings tie Packers-

The second tie in the NFL in as many weeks. Actually a moral win for the Vikes who went to Lambeau Field and tied the Pack. Minnesota hosts weak Buffalo this week while Green Bay goes to Washington.

Saints over Browns-

Wow! Cleveland ties Pittsburgh in week 1 then almost upsets the Saints in New Orleans. Surprised that the 9-point favored Saints struggled so much. Maybe they aren't as good as advertised? New Orleans travels to rival Atlanta this week for a big NFC South game, while the Brownies host the Jets.

Jaguars over Patriots-

The Jags finally defeat New England and start 2-0. They are not only looking for an AFC South crown, but home field advantage in the playoffs. They have the tie-breaker now against the Patriots. The Pats must avoid going 1-2 by beating the Lions in Detroit.

Broncos over Raiders-

Denver goes 2-0, but somehow I don't see them matching-up with division foes Kansas City or the Chargers. The Raiders are getting buried early. Denver has Baltimore on the road, not an easy task, while Oakland travels to Miami.

Bears over Seahawks

Chicago should be 2-0 out of the gate. They are much improved, while Seattle is already two game sin the hole to the Rams. The Bears should take care of business in Arizona this week, while the Seahawks finally go home to play Dallas.
