* The Sixers are playing games again- and not on the basketball court.
GM Brian Colangelo held a press conference yesterday to address the Marrkelle Fultz fiasco. Is he hurt? How bad? For how long? Why was he playing through pain? Does anybody know what's going on?
It was the same old double-talk form the GM- and later from Coach Brett Brown. They blamed Fultz more then their own inept medical staff and the confusion which is the front office and organization.
Lying and making excuses and covering their ass is common for the Sixers. So is incompetence
It's a shame. The 76'ers have a group of young, talented players. They need some direction, both form the coach and the organization. Sadly, this won't change soon. Brown will be kept on,unless the team completely collapses, because he is a mindless puppet for the front office. Colangelo is there for the long run. And the greedy owner, Josh Harris, is there until he can't make anymore money.
The fans deserve better.
As for last night's game against the Houston Rockets, the Sixers blew it in the end, losing on a last-second Rocket three-pointer, 105-104.
As usual, the loser coach claimed a moral victory. But that's not good enough anymore. The team is 1-4 so far, with high expectations. .The team is actually trying to win now, and blowing games isn't acceptable.
Brown should strive for excellence and not settle for mediocrity, like in the past.

The Astros tied the World Series at one game apiece as they beat the Dodgers in LA in dramatic fashion, in 11 innings. Eight home runs were hit, six of them in the latter innings.
Down 3-1 going into the 8th, and facing an 0-2 hole in the series, Houston scored in the 8th and 9th. They scored 2 runs in the 10th before LA also plated two in their half of the 10th.The Astros took the lead in the 11th and held off the Dodgers for the win.
It was the Dodgers first loss at home this post-season.
Now the series takes on a different view. Three games await in Houston this weekend. One would expect the Astros to win at least 2 of 3, which would send the series back to Los Angeles for a Game 6. LA takes 2 of 3 and they go home only needing one game to win the world championship.
I said the Dodgers in six and I'm sticking to it. But it's going to be a tough series. The Astros are a young, talented and hungry group.
Ex- Phillies Chase Utley and Ken Giles played last night. Utley went 0-3 and Giles had a rough outing, giving up a pair of runs in an inning of work.
