The Eagles are 5-1, the best team in football. There's a long way to go until the playoffs.Lets look a the remainder of the schedule and project:
Mon. Oct. 23- Redskins
Must-win for Washington. Eagles win and they have control of NFC East as well as good standing in NFC. Sweeping the Redskins makes it tough for "Skins (W 6-1)
Sun. Oct. 29- 40'ers
San Francisco is playing better than an 0-6 team, but they hate to play at 1:00 in the Eastern time zone. Eagles can't let down. This game would've been more fun if Chip Kelly still coached the "Niners. (W 7-1)
Sun. Nov. 5- Broncos
Denver didn't show me anything last week against the awful Giants. This game may be flexed to Sunday night. Tough game- the Bronco defense is good and the Eagles usually have trouble with AFC teams. (W 8-1)
Bye Week
Sun. Nov. 19 @ Cowboys
The Eagles first road game in over a month. Sunday night match-up. Dallas running back Elliot should be serving his suspension by then. Still, Dallas will be desperate. Eagles usually play well in Texas. (L-8-2)
Sun. Nov. 26- Bears
Another potential let-down game, sandwiched between Dallas and Seattle. The eagles will want to get this one before hitting the road for 3 straight games. (W 9-2)
Sun. Dec. 3 @ Seahawks
Tough to win in Seattle. Who knows how the Seahawks will be playing by then? Could be a key game regarding tie-breakers and playoff home field advantage. (L 9-3)
Sun. Dec. 10- @ Rams
So far the Rams are playing well, so this game may mean something. Second game of road trip. Eagles will stay on the West Coast between Seattle and Los Angeles. )W 10-4)
Sun. Dec 17 @ Giants
Looks like this game will be meaningless for New York, The Birds play well at the Meadowlands. Philly will want to collect the wins and gain momentum for the playoffs. however, be leery of the giants in a division rivalry game. (W 10-3)
Mon. Dec. 25- Raiders
A Christmas night present. Will the cold and flying across country effect Oakland? Not as bad a day game would've been. Will the game mean anything to the Raiders? The Birds are on prime-time again and want to lock up the top seed in the NFC. With it goes a bye and home field advantage in the playoffs. But Philadelphia has to lose one game at the Linc, don't they?(L 10-5)
Sun. Dec. 31- Cowboys
A New Year's Eve game. If it means the NFC East, the game will be flexed to Sunday night. The Eagle fans will already be tanked for New Year's Eve. More reason to celebrate? Winning the NFC East and securing a spot in the playoffs? The Eagles won't lose twice to Dallas, nor lose two home games in a row. (W 11-5)
