PHILLY SPORTS CORNER- SIXERS, PHILLIES, FLYERS

- Big win for the Sixers Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee. By beating the best team in the NBA, on their home court, the 76ers showed they can play with the better teams. They have won four game sin a row, all after Joel Embiid came back from a knee injury. Philly will only go as far as Jojo takes them. Johnny Butler has stepped it up lately, but the Sixers will live and die with Embiid.

By beating the bucks, despite the Greek Freak's 52 points, the Sixers solidify their #3 seed in the East with only 12 games left to play in the regular season.

- Bryce Harper played against the Yankees on Sunday. He is still hitless for the spring, but I'm not worried. He started late and now has a minor setback with the ankle. I would be more worried about the starting pitching.

I wonder how much longer Vince Valasquez will keep his spot in the rotation. Both Drew Anderson and Jarod Eichoff have pitched better this spring. I can see Valasquz in the bullpen, either as a long reliever or a Swiss Army Knife guy, coming in wherever needed to get a key strikeout.

Opening Day is only 10 days away. Hard to believe its the last full week of spring training.

- The Flyers, on thin ice to make the playoffs, pulled out a miracle win in Pittsburgh yesterday, scoring to tie the game with 17 seconds left, then winning in overtime. They are now 6 points in back of a playoff spot.
