On April 11, 1969, the Seattle Pilots today's Seattle Mariners), debuted in Sicks Stadium in a 7-0  victory over the White Sox. Gary Bell tossed a shutout in one of only two wins he posted that season. Pitcher Jim Bouton documented the Pilots' 1969 season in his acclaimed book Ball Four.
