NFL REVIEW- WEEK 14

A quick review and look ahead at the NFL thru week 14...

Titans over Jaguars-

Who cares? Jacksonville has been one of the biggest disappointments this season.Tennessee, with the faintest of playoff hopes alive at 7-6, plays at the Giants next week.

Lions over Cardinals-

How bad is Arizona? They drop to 3-10 and are in the hunt for the overall No. 1 pick in next spring's draft. Detroit is 5-8 and are what they are- average.

Jets over Bills-

Another meaningless game between two annually losing franchises. When will Jets fire their coach?

Browns over Panthers-

Carolina is 1-6 on the road this season, their sole win against the Eagles at the Linc. They have lost five in a row and are choking, unlikely to make the playoffs after a nice start. The Browns are so much better, winners of five games having winning zero games last year. Carolina has a must-win game at home vs New Orleans next week.

Packers over Falcons-

Green Bay had to win at home against the struggling Falcons, the Pack with an interim coach. Atlanta has only four win with all that talent? Green Bay goes to Chicago next week. Win at Soldier Field and they have the Jets and Lions on tap to end the regular season.

Chargers over Bengals-

The streaking Chargers are right behind Kansas City in AFC West- the same Chiefs team they happen to play this Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium. Is Cincinnati coach Marvin Lewis gone yet?

Raiders over Steelers-

How can Pittsburgh lose in Oakland? They don't deserve to be in the playoffs yet will probably make it since Baltimore can't step up. Oakland is 3-10 and vying for the no. 1 pick in the spring. The Steelers return home to face angry New England.

Chiefs over Ravens-

Give Baltimore credit for taking Kansas City to overtime at Arrowhead. KC has the inside track for home field advantage in the AFC playoffs. The Ravens still hope to catch the erratic Steelers or grab a wild card spot. KC hosts the chargers on Thursday while Baltimore hosts Tampa Bay.

Dolphins over Patriots-

Crazy finish to an unbelievable Dolphin win. Miami has life at 7-6 while the Pats drop to 9-5 and may have cost themselves home field advantage in the post-season. New England goes to Pittsburgh while the Dolphins face the Vikings in Minnesota.

Saints over Buccaneers-

After an early scare the Saints beat the Bucs, grabbing the top seed in the NFC playoffs with the Ram loss. New Orleans travels to Carolina next week.

Giants over Redskins-

New York is now 5-8 and very easily could've been 6-7 if they had held on against the Eagles.Fool's gold or does New York have something to build on next season? Without a real quarterback Washington is cooked, even at 6-7.

Colts over Texans-

Still work to do for Indy but they won a big road game at hot Houston The colts host the cowboys next week while the Texans try to get back on track as they take on the Jets in New York.. Houston still should win at least 11 games. Will that get them a bye in the playoffs?

49ers over Broncos-

San Francisco surprises with a home victory as they go 3-10 on the year. Denver is dead, even for a wild card berth.

Big game tonight- Minnesota at Seattle, a preview of two wild card teams battling for the playoffs?

In my NFL picks against the spread I went 1-1. On the season I'm still ahead, 17-12.
