THIS DAY IN SPORTS HISTORY- NOVEMBER 2

"A good trainer can't make a bad horse good. But a bad trainer can make a good horse bad- "Sunny" Jim Fitzsimmons

"Sunny" Jim Fitzsimmons is the only trainer to work with two Triple Crown winners. He did it with the sire/son combination of Gallant Fox ( 1930) and Omaha ( 1935). Horse racing historians have also noted that "Sunny' Jim was even a better man than he was a horse trainer.
