PHILLY SPORTS CORNER- NFL FOOTBALL, SIXERS, FLYERS,NFL PREVIEW

- On Thanksgiving Day pro football, the Bears pulled out a 4th quarter victory over the host Lions. Chicago solidifies their lead in NFC North. They will make the playoffs. The Bears' defense will be reckoned with in the post-season, even against potent offenses like the Rams and Saints.

I always hate Dallas to win, but they may have helped Philadelphia yesterday by beating Washington.. If the Eagles beat the Giants on Sunday at the Linc, they sudden;y move to 5-6. next week Dallas plays 10-1 New Orleans while the Birds take on the Redskins in Monday Night Football. All three NFC East teams could be 6-6 after next week.

The Saints keep rolling along, defeating disappointing Atlanta on Thanksgiving night.

- The Sixers- without troubled rookie Markelle  Fultz- play the worse team in the NBA tonight in South Philly. The Cleveland Cavaliers stumble into town to cap off a Black Friday doubleheader at the Wells Fargo Center.

- Meanwhile the Flyers play their annual Black Friday afternoon game against the New York Rangers, After losing 5-2 in Buffalo on Wednesday the Orange and Black need to turnaround things fast.

- With 3 less games on the docket, here is a preview of the rest of the NFL card..

Giants at Eagles-

See post after this one for my Eagles- Giants pick.

Jaguars at Bills-

Meaningless game in chilly upstate New York. Will QB Matt Barkley again play well for the bills?

Browns at Bengals-

Cleveland has improved somewhat this season but remain in the cellar of AFC North. Cincinnati, after starting off fast, has disappointed. Coach Marvin Lewis needs to be fired.

Patriots at Jets-

New England can't let up if they want home field advantage in the playoffs. The Jets are playing for pride.

49ers at Buccaneers-

San Francisco is in the hunt for the 1st overall draft pick next spring. Tampa Bay, also after a quick start, are playing out the string with a quarterback controversy.

Seahawks at Panthers-

Bot clubs need a win to stay within shouting distance of the 10-1 division leaders. Seahawks cross the country, don't do well with time change. like Carolina here.

Raiders at Ravens-

Likewise, Raiders cross America, only to get lynched by Ravens. I like Baltimore to explode with big win.

Cardinals at Chargers-

LA hit bump in the road last week, need a win to stay in playoff chase. Cards are playing it out with 2-8 record.

Steelers at Broncos-

Pittsburgh survived against Jacksonville. Cold game in Denver. Upset by Broncos?

Dolphins at Colts-

Indianapolis  sits at 5-5, two games behind Houston in AFC South. They need a win more than Miami.

Packers at Vikings-

Minnesota at home need a win to hang with surprising Chicago. Can Aaron Rodgers pull an upset?

Titans at Texans-

Hot Houston tries to keep their two game lead by playing division-rival Tennessee, The Titans have beaten some really good teams this season yet remain at .500.

My NFL picks this week. I am 14-8 against the spread this season..

- Panthers - 3 1/2
- Colts - 7 1/2

As much as I hate Dallas winning, they gave the Eagles the slightest hope by beating the Redskins. The Cowboys are 6-5, while Washington stands at 6-5 as well. If the Eagles beat the Giants
