NFL REVIEW- WEEK 11

A review of the past weekend in the NFL..

Seahawks over Packers-

Seattle kept it's faint playoff hopes alive while Green Bay is probably finished for the year. They won't win NFC North. They are not better than the Bears or Vikings. Will Coach McCarthy go after the season? The Seahawks travel to Carolina this week while the Pack stay on the road for a key game in Minnesota.

Saints over Eagles-

New Orleans getting 48 points wasn't as much of a surprise as the Eagles only getting 7 points. The Saints have the worst secondary in the league Philly has a must-win game at home this Sunday against their rival Giants. Can't remember the last time New York was favored in Philadelphia, even though the Birds have a slightly better record. New Orleans continues their march to the playoffs with a home game against desperate Atlanta.

Cowboys over Falcons-

Hard to believe that Dallas may win the NFC East and make the playoffs after being on life-support a few weeks ago. The Eagles gave them life and the Cowboys are at 5-5 now. They play their annual Thanksgiving Day game at home vs the Redskins. Win and the Boys share first place with Washington. meanwhile, Atlanta has a must-win game this week at New Orleans.

Lions over Panthers-

Detroit stayed alive with an upset win at home vs Carolina. The Panthers are trying to stay with red-hot New Orleans but may end up getting a wild card spot instead. Detroit plays their annual Thanksgiving Day game, this time vs Chicago, while the Panthers return home to face Seattle.

Colts over Titans-

Tennessee's up-and down season continues with a loss in Indianapolis. Andrew Luck has resurrected his career under new head coach Frank Reich. The Colts try to keep the momentum rolling this week at home vs Miami, while the Titans stay on the road with an away game vs streaking Houston.

Giants over Buccaneers-

New York won a shoot-out last week, winning their third game of the season. The 3-7 G-men play in Philly this Sunday, while Tampa Bay start a three-game home stand vs San Francisco.

Texans over Redskins-

Houston, after losing its first three games, has now won six in a row. They start a three-game home stand, starting with Tennessee this week. Washington plays at Dallas on turkey Day in a huge NFC East contest.

Steelers over Jaguars-

Pittsburgh was on the ropes in Jacksonville before they pulled out the win. The Jags, after reaching the AFC Championship Game last season, have been a major disappointment. Pittsburgh goes to cold Denver this week, while Jacksonville travels to equally chilly Buffalo.

Ravens over Bengals-

Baltimore stays alive in AFC North, while the Bengals continue to slip. Cincinnati ain't going anywhere until they fire their head coach, Marvin Lewis. The Ravens stay home this week to face Oakland while Cincy plays at home against inter-state rival Cleveland.

Cardinals over raiders-

Both teams suck and are looking at 2019 and the draft, so does it matter? Oakland flies cross-county to Baltimore as Arizona plays at the Chargers.

Broncos over Chargers-

Denver pulled the one-point upset in LA, slightly derailing the chargers' hopes for an AFC West title. Denver hosts the Steelers this week while LA hosts Arizona.

Bears over Vikings-

The Bears are for real. The Vikings have so much potential but can't seem to win the big one. Chicago plays Detroit on Thanksgiving while Minnesota plays welcome to Green Bay.

Rams over Chiefs-

The highest scoring game in the history of Monday Night Football, LA outlasted KC, 54-51. Could be a Super Bowl LIII preview? This week both the Chiefs and Rams have well-deserved byes. Are Mahomes and Goff better quarterbacks now than Carson Wentz. Right now, yes. In the long run, we will see. Glad Mahomes and Goff aren't in the NFC East.

In my NFL picks last week I went 1-0 with a tie. For the season I am 14-8 against the spread...
