The Heidi Game
On November 17, 1968, the Heidi game was played between the Oakland Raiders and the New York Jets. With New York ahead 32-29 with 1:05 to play in the 4th quarter, NBC-TV broke off from the game to broadcast the movie Heidi. Oakland would score twice in the final 42 seconds to win 43-32 as fans and viewers were outraged by missing the conclusion.
