PHILLY SPORTS CORNER- SIXERS, FLYERS, EAGLES

- The Sixers suffered an embarrassing loss at home on Black Friday night, defeated by the worst team in the NBA, the Cleveland Cavaliers, 121-112. Prior to last night the 76ers had not lost a game at the Wells Fargo Center this season. The Cavs had not won a game on the road. Easy game, eh?Philadelphia was an 11 1/2 point favorite.

Philly came out flat and, despite a comeback attempt late, faded to the lowly Cavs. Ben Simmons, legit or not, told the media the excuse was "too much food over Thanksgiving."

As I have said many times, the Sixers won't go anywhere without a new coach. I'm glad I took the team to win under 54 games this year. They are too inconsistent, injury-prone and still not ready for prime time.

- Meanwhile the Flyers played a complete game Friday afternoon during their annual Black Friday game, defeating the New York Rangers 4-0. Can they continue the momentum tonight on the road in Toronto?

- Finally, the Eagles are preparing for their key division battle Sunday afternoon vs the Giants. A loss and they drop to 4-7. The secondary is featuring three guys who were on the street several weeks ago. The offense is still a problem. Guys are hurt. Coaches are over their head. They are a mess.

I'll have my prediction on Eagles-Giants tomorrow morning.
