CHIRPING BIRDS- NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

* Wow! I was lucky enough to get Eagles tix to the NFC Championship Game this Sunday night at the Linc. Should be a crazy, fun atmosphere. Can't wait to experience my first championship game in Philadelphia. Looking forward to being there with 70,000 other loud fans, many wearing dog masks. Just the experience of being in the "underdog" crowd will be a memory to last a lifetime. When the Birds win and go on to the Super Bowl, it will be even better.

Will be nice to hang out at the WIP Radio tent again before the game.  Seeing Ray Didinger again is always a privilege and an honor. Will also be fun to see the Fox guys as well in person, I like Bradshaw and long, can't stand Strahan and Jimmy Johnson.  Also not a Joe Buck fan. Troy Aikman I can tolerate, knowing he's a Dallas Cowboy at heart.Erin Andrews would be fun to meet.

Sounds like the weather will be OK. Maybe showers in the evening, but warm. A frigid night would be an advantage for the Eagles, taking on a Minnesota team that plays it's home games in a dome. But for the fans, a mild night in South Philly is much more desired.

I'm sure the blimps will be there. Will Rocky show up? Celebrities and ex-Eagles will be there. How nuts will the pre-game ceremonies be? Who will sing the National Anthem?

Strolling thru the parking lots amidst the tail-gates will be an experience like never before. If it is a nice, almost-springlike afternoon, the barbecues will be out, the smell of steaks and hot dogs and burgers drifting over the entire area. The beer will be flowing as well.

How many Viking fans will  be brave enough to show up, wearing their purple jerseys and horns? The stands will be packed with Eagle fans. The local restaurants and bars around the Delaware Valley will be jammed. Most households will have parties, watching the game form the comfortable of their warm dens , man-caves or living room sofa.

It promises to be an unforgettable time. I'll have the entire review of the game and the experience on Monday morning, right here on the blog.
