RESTAURANT REVIEW- FOUNDING FARMERS

Part of birthday weekend was dinner at a new restaurant in King of Prussia called founding Fathers.

The trendy eatery is located in The Villages section of KoP, a bustling complex full of new apartments, condos, restaurants and shops.

It was Sunday afternoon, and good thing we called several days ahead for reservations. The place is big-three stories-, bright, noisy, full of music and mostly millennials

Three out of the four party members had filet , the other choosing ravioli. The portions were generous, although baked potato was n't on the menu. Almost everything else is.

The uniqueness of Founding Fathers is the food is made from scratch there, especially the home-made ice cream. The restaurant was featured during a segment on 6 Action News. Each room in the restaurant is a different atmosphere or "feel", a different motif. We were in the "Cozy Room." Farms and a rustic, woody look adorns the walls and floors.

The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. They were out of the cherry pie with vanilla ice cream, but I got carrot cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert and it was great.

I give Founding Farmers three out of four stars. The bill came to approximately $40 a person. It's upscale, service drinks, wine and beer, yet kid-friendly too, with hot dogs and comfort food. In fact, I saw quite a few children there as we  ate

.I would- and will- go back.
