CHIRPING BIRDS- EAGLES VS DALLAS-THE PICK

I'm perfect picking Eagles' games this season. It's time to breakdown the huge match-up between the birds and Cowboys this Sunday night.

Dallas needs the game more. They lose and they drop to 5-5. Even a wild card spot would be in doubt, especially with running back Zeke Elliot out four more games. Dallas is home. They may have an "Us against the World" mentality, missing their starting running back, linebacker, kicker  and offensive tackle.

But I can't believe the Cowboys can won as the Giants did in Denver when they were depleted with injuries. The Eagles are the better team, and have as much to play for as the Cowboys.

Philly is coming off a bye. They may be a bit rusty in the first quarter, but they also haven't forgotten how they blew the game last year in Dallas, losing a 10 point lead with less than 10 minutes to play.

Beating America's Team on their home field, in front of a huge TV audience, would show the rest of the country what we already know- that the Eagles are for real.

The Eagles are getting CB Darby and tight end Ertz back from injuries. They are clicking on all cylinders, with a Dallas team in disarray, including owner Jerry Jones.

Winning would make the Eagles 9-1, with a four game lead over Dallas. The NFC East would be wrapped up, with the Birds focusing on seedings in the playoffs. and staying healthy.

Losing would drop the Eagles to 8-2, not a disaster, but Dallas would still be in contention and doubts would arise in the media about Philadelphia crashing, like usual. Again, getting a playoff bye and home field advantage ar ekeys, and a loss Sunday night would allow New Orleans and even the Rams to vie for playoff byes.

The Eagles are the healthier team and the better team. As long as they don't go into the game overconfident, they should step on the Cowboys while they can.

Limiting turnovers is always a key. Getting off to a fast start, making Dak Prescott throw the ball, and teeing off on their offensive line is crucial.

Many are saying the Eagles will simply crush Dallas, maybe 42-7....I say Dallas will somehow find a way to hang in the game until late, when Carson Wentz wears them down  with a combo of Blount and Ajayi running the ball down Dallas' throats.

Make it Eagles 31 Cowboys 23.
