Dodgers-Yanks Honor "Campy"

"How does a man know when he's taking the last steps of his life/"

60 years ago today, Roy 'Campy' Campanella was honored before a record crowd of more than 93,000 fans at the Los Angeles Coliseum. He helped lead the Dodgers to four pennants and was named NL MVP in 1951, 1953 and 1955. In 1958, a car accident left Campanella paralyzed from the chest down.
