On This Day
May 10, 2012, the Baltimore Orioles became the first team in American League history to start a game with three consecutive home runs. The threesome were Ryan Flaherty, J.J. Hardy, and Nick Markakis, who did it in the bottom of the first, as the Orioles edged Texas 6-5.
Oddly, the last team to have players leave the yard in their first three times up were the Milwaukee Brewers, on September 9, 2007, when Hardy was also second in line.
