EAGLES-VIKINGS PREVIEW

I'll be there for the Eagles-Vikings game this Sunday. There are so many reasons to pick Minnesota. It's revenge for their loss last January in the NFC Champion Game at the Linc. The Vikes have 10 days tor est and prepare are their tie against Green Bay. Lose and they drop to 1-3-1, not insurmountable but not good.

The Birds may now have the best home field advantage in football. their defense plays so much better at home. They are on the Fox game of the week. The Eagles don't want to drop to 2-3, even though they play in a  much weaker division. With the Rams jumping out to a 4-0 start, home field in the playoffs- if you reach the post-season- is critical.

The secondary played awful last week against the Bucs. The Vikings come in with even better wide receivers. If the defensive line doesn't get pressure on QB Kirk Cousins he will pick them apart against the Jim Schwartz-led defense. Maybe a little more blitzing will be in the cards this week?

Injuries will play a key part in this game, as stars like Jeffery, Sproles, Peters, and Clement continue not practice. No matter how good Carson Wentz is, he still needs weapons.

The Minnesota defense doesn't seem as strong this year, after getting shell shocked in the NFC Championship Game. As always, turnovers will be key. I see the Birds feeding off the frenzied crowd. It will be warm and the fans will be pretty well tanked for the late afternoon game.

Getting off to a fast start and making Cousins throw the ball will also be key. I would like to see the Eagles rush the ball more, controlling the clock, using both Smallwood and Ajayi if Sproles and Clement aren't available.

Minnesota has revenge, needs the game and has the rest. yet somehow I can't see Philly losing this important NFC game at home. The Eagles then must travel to take on the Giants next Thursday night in their first NFC East division game.

It should be a high-scoring affair in Philadelphia on Sunday as the Eagles beat the Vikings, 34-27
