UPCOMING IN THE BLOG

There are a lot of things to talk about in the blog in the near future. Please look forward to and enjoy the following...

-Philly Sports Corner- a daily feature which reviews Philadelphia sports and offers opinions, predictions and just friendly chatter to hopefully encourage discussion and thought. I write mostly about Eagles and Phillies issues, basically because that is what interests me the most, but I do offer opinions and news on the Sixers, Flyers, and local college sports as well.

- Phillies Phodder- special topics about the Phillies. In fact, next week, since there will be time-off due to the All-Star break, I will review the first half of the baseball season, as well as break down the Phillies roster, grading and commenting on each individual player, manager and the front office.With the Pihls in playoff contention, hopefully  Phillies Phodder will be a busy and interesting section of the blog to check out as summer rolls along.

- Chirping Birds- my section devoted to everything Eagles, of course, a popular item last season when I followed the birds to the Super bowl and beyond ( check out some of the articles from the archives). Again we will do fun things like break down the schedule, make season predictions, as well as comment on the news everyday as training camp begins shortly. Rather than reporting the same news you can find elsewhere in the media, I mostly write about what regular fans like myself may be interested in- viewpoints, trade speculation,and things fans may talk about while sitting around in a bar or on talk radio.

Last season I picked every Eagles game correctly- 19-0. I went week-by-week and broke down each game before it was played and on Mondays, I did both my weekly NFL wrap-up and an extensive article on the Eagles' game. Again, my humble opinions and reviewing things the average fan may be thinking about.  Along with the reviews and predictions, I commented on the daily news items which are being discussed in the papers and on the radio.

In The News- a feature about what's new or in the news regarding disability issues in our world and community. Even if you are not disabled the feature hopefully promotes awareness and discussion and thought.I also love to get a story that highlights an individual with the great spirit, motivation and courage we all need to hear about and admire every so often.

In My Life- articles about things going on in my world, which hopefully interests others. Everything form concert and movie reviews, to comments on special happening and people in my world, to memories of special events, holidays and people who may no longer be around. Fir instance, my mom's 5th anniversary of her passing is coming up on August 7th, so, just like last year, I hope to write some memories of her, in appreciation and love, things everyone may be able to relate to.

There are also items about trivia, such as Daily Phillies Trivia, Daily Eagles Trivia, and This Day In Sports History..plus much more.

So I hope you continue to hang with me here. it's free, with no really annoying ads popping up or stupid surveys to complete before enjoying the site. I write for fun not profit. My opinions are not better than anyone else's, nor do i claim to be a professional writer, reporter or even a professional blogger.
