"Ruthville"

On June 13, `948, the New York Yankees celebrated the 25-year anniversary of the stadium called the House that Ruth Built, Babe Ruth would make his final appearance at Yankee Stadium and would die just two months later at the age of 53 on August 16,.

Nat Fein's photo taken from behind as Ruth used a bat as a cane, standing near home plate and facing "Ruthville" ( right field), became one of baseball's most famous and circulated photographs and won a Pulitzer Prize.
