CHIRPING BIRDS-PREDICTING THE REST OF THE SEASON

Just for fun, let's predict the rest of the NFL season with the contenders. Here are the remaining schedules, my picks and notes...

Eagles-

at Rams W
at Giants W
Raiders W
Cowboys W

The Birds  finish 14-2. They come out angry on Sunday and throttle the Rams in LA. The Giants are no problem in new York. They win their last two games, both at tome, to secure a playoff bye and home field advantage thru-out the NFC playoffs.

Vikings-

at Panthers L
Bengals W
at Green Bay L
Bears W

Minnesota finishes 12-4.They lose this weekend at Carolina ( who need the game more). The Vikes lose to the Packers, who should have QB Aaron Rodgers back by then.

Saints-

at  Falcons L
Jets W
Falcons W
at Buccaneers W

New Orleans also ends at 12-4, NFC South champs. They split with Atlanta but win the rest.

Panthers-

Vikings W
Packers W
Buccaneers W
at Falcons L

Carolina finishes with 11 wins and a wild card spot. Their next 3 games are at home, but lose to Atlanta in the season finale.

Falcons-

Saints W
at Buccaneers W
at Saints L
Panthers W

The Super Bowl losers finish with 10 wins- good enough to get them a wild card berth?

Rams-

Eagles L
at Seahawks L
at Titans L
49'ers W

The surprising Rams end with 10 wins, tied with Atlanta for a wild card spot.

Seahawks-

at Jaguars L
Rams W
at Cowboys W
Cardinals W

Seattle wins the NFC West with 11 wins but must play wild card weekend.

Playoffs-

Division Champs- Eagles, Saints, Seahawks, Vikings

Wild Card Teams- Falcons, Panthers

Patriots-

at Dolphins  W
at Steelers  L
Bills W
Jets W

New England ends with their typical 13 wins, but do not get home field advantage since they lsoe head-to-head with Pittsburgh.Plus the Steelers should win 14 games anyway.

Steelers-

Ravens W
Patriots W
at Texans W
at Browns W

Pittsburgh wins out,a total of 14 wins, making it two Pennsylvania teams with 14 victories this season.

Titans-

at Cardinals L
at 49'ers W
Raiders W
Jaguars W

Tennessee ends with 11 wins and take the AFC South by virtue of their season-ending home with over Jacksonville.

Jaguars-

Seahawks W
Texans W
at 49'ers W
at Titans L

Jacksonville loses the division but gets a wild card spot.

Chiefs-

Raiders W
Chargers L
 Dolphins W
at Broncos W

Kansas City, starting 5-0, now 6-6, still has it's destiny in it's own hands, with three home games in a  row I  say they win 9 games and are on the verge of the wild card

Chargers-

Redskins W
at Chiefs W
at Jets L
Raiders W

LA finishes with 9 wins and wins the AFC West in a tie-breaker over KC

Raiders-

at Chiefs  L
Cowboys W
at Eagles L
at Chargers L

Oakland ends with a  mere 7 wins and doesn't sniff the playoffs.

Bills-

Colts W
Dolphins W
at Patriots  L
at Dolphins  L

Buffalo had it's playoff ate in it's own hands, and still does, after losing at home to the Pats last week.Buffalo goes 8-8 and misses the post-season.

Ravens-

at Steelers L
at Browns W
 Colts W
 Bengals W

Baltimore finishes with 10 wins and gets a wild card spot.

Division Champs- Patriots, Steelers, Titans, Chargers
Wild Card Teams- Ravens Jaguars

I'll make my playoff picks when the time comes.
